P.K. and Critter, 16 years old, meet by accident at a rock climbing gym and immediately hit it off. Both are unhappy with their home life feeling their parents do not understand or listen to them. They decide to run away to do some serious rock climbing together. While their parents are looking for them, P.K. and Critter get to know each other better. They support each other in their climbing challenges. Critter has a wonderful ability to look at life as an adventure and be happy in the moment. Carbone alternates voices between P.K. and Critter. The story moves quickly with short chapters and an exciting climax.
